Best kit for getting started with chainmail
This is by far the best kit for getting started with chainmail that I have found. Most other kits are for a singe project but this allows you to make many things. Most kits don't come with pliers but this does. The pliers are smooth jaw but the handles are very thin. This makes it hard to use them for an extended period of time. I recommend you build up the handles in some way to make them more comfortable. The instructions in the book are great, though JPL could be better, same with turning Half Persian 4 in 1 Into 3 in 1. I do wish the rings were anodized rather then bright aluminum. The bright aluminum tends to leave a grey residue on my hands.

Packing really needs work
The included Tape destroys the bags, now I have to buy containers. Book is on the bottom so you have to take EVERYTHING out just to get to the book. I guess it's a decent deal but come on. Definitely plan on having containers ready because you can't get it back in the box. Box is cool though

Great for beginners and experienced makers alike!
I've been making stainless steel chainmail jewelry for a few years now, but have never branched out into larger projects or different materials. This kit has been an amazing way for me to experiment with new techniques that I have never tried before! I'm especially happy that clasps were included. The quality is fantastic, and I can tell that they will last for many years. The tools are unexpectedly terrific! I have chronic hand mobility issues, and the pliers have not caused any pain or cramping whatsoever, even after hours of use. 10/10 would recommend!

i'm just starting out with chainmail, its been maybe four days and i've had the most fun. it coming with a instruction book and pliers is super useful, you got everything you need. you can just work through the book and i'm literally working on the byzantine chain right now and it's a really fun and pretty one. thought about getting this kit for ages and i'm so glad i finally did!

Incredible beginner set
Whatever you're thinking of getting into chainmail for, this is a great kit for it! Not only are you buying the opportunity to make what you want, but options and instructions for other items as well. The book is well illustrated, the rings are great and the bags for the rings are labeled to correlate with the weaves in the book. Also, the rings are doubled bagged which is great for holding groups of opened and closed rings.
